Most companies use head hunters, also known as recruiters to recruit the talent they need for the organization. A recruiter often takes key information and requirements that the company provides before he selects the appropriate candidate. Often, a recruiter has to understand the companies’ key recruitment and then tries to match the same with the right individual.

Often, the posts are either on a temporary basis or a permanent one. A recruiter often has to maintain a good relationship with the various companies and undertake various contracts to fulfill their current staffing requirements. And in the process, he may be privy to confidential information which of course, needs to be kept confidential for various reasons including the obvious one.

We are a multi-national organization and are currently looking for recruiters who can fulfill this role quite well and, in the process, help us with our current and future staffing requirements. As a recruiter, you would be tasked with hiring the right candidate for the post; as well as ensure that all the due diligence checks are carried out on each candidate.

Furthermore, you need to ensure that all the staffing requirements are met ahead in time. You would need to keep us updated with regards to our staffing requirements and advise us periodically on the same.

The core responsibilities lie in assessing other candidates for specific posts and evaluating the candidate, based on the job requirements. A recruiter is expected to design, and develop a set process for evaluating and picking out the right candidate. Granted that, this process can differ somewhat given the final instructions issued by the company; but generally, most recruiters often hold multiple rounds before choosing the right person.

And the candidate selected, would have to agree to multiple background checks at the start of the interview rounds. A talented recruiter may even find himself on a permanent retainer with one company and it is only a matter of time before he joins the HR department of the same.

Recruiter Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of a recruiter can vary but in general, they often consist of the following –

  • Advertise vacancies, run ads in both print and digital media for open positions in the company
  • Design, develop and initiate a process by which the right candidate would be selected
  • Inform the candidate, the duties and responsibilities of his new post, as well as the salary offered
  • Advice the candidate accordingly
  • Forward the resumes and CVs to the clients
  • Initiate multiple rounds of interviews for selecting the right person.

Recruiter Educational and Experience Requirement

Any company would make sure that the recruiter for their organization possess the right qualifications and has the expertise to recruit people for their company.

Some of the basic qualifications that an aspiring recruiter may have to meet are listed below:
